You heard the news? I have.
Any of you guys hear about how George Lucas sold Lucasfilm and SW to Disney? I have. And I'm a little shocked. Why sell Lightsabers and Sith to Mickey Mouse and Cinderella? I mean, I have had a growing suspicion that it would happen, with all the the Star Wars in Disney World and stuff like that. And I guess they are now gonna make a Seventh Movie in a few years, and maybe even make and Eighth and Ninth movie too! And more rumors are that they might move the Clone Wars TV show to Disney XD! So, in the comments, tell me if this is good or bad, and the reason it's good or bad.
New Story! Yay!
I have a new Star Wars EU story that I have written, and I decided to post it on here! (BTW, If you say you do not like, I give you Force choke. Just kidding, but I could)
Targeting, book 1: Rise of the Hunter
Prolouge.
The Empire was once a very feared group led by the power-crazed Emperor.
But after a small Rebellion destroyed the Empire's secret weapon, the Death Star, the Emperor was defeated, and freedom returned to the galaxy. But the remnants of the Empire were relentless to restore the group to it's former glory. But one within the Empire could change all that. A young bounty hunter named Anglor Ziring.
Chapter 1
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! the computer inside the cockpit of the Infinite Rancor blared. A transmission was coming in from Vanqour, the planet below, was being sent to the pilot. As the pilot pressed the receive transmission button, a gray-clad Imperial Officer appeared on the ship's monitor. "Good day Admiral Sacreen," the pilot said.
"Good day si-, oh, it's you. The infamous bounty hunter Anglor Ziring. Let me guess, you want a place to land?" The job of sending transmissions to incoming pilots did not strike Sacreen as 'fun', and this particular pilot was his least favorite of all pilots. "Yep. Admiral, have you been taking extra classes? I think your getting smarter!" Anglor said with a chuckle. "Somebody ordered a group of captured Rebels, so I thought I'd do special delivery. Got any docking bays left?"
"Sadly, yes. Go to docking bay 53. The Vanqour weeds are growing the most on that platform. I knew you were coming, so I got it reserved for you." the Admiral's face revealed an evil smirk.
"Ha ha. Very funny. I'll see you there after I do a little weed-whacking." And the ship flew off.
************
Now that the Infinite Rancor had entered the planet's atmosphere, Anglor looked down from his viewport at the surface. A small group of gray buildings all signified with the Imperial insignia stood below. The small buildings were bases for Imperial troops. After the Rebel Alliance destroyed the Death Star II, all the Empire split and ran to different parts of the galaxy. Small remnants of the Empire moved to different planets to build small fortresses and regain their strength. One of these planets, Vanqour, housed different fortresses like Anglor saw. Vanqour was a jungle planet inhabited by Gundarks, vicious creatures who ate people for desert. Anglor learned that the hard way when one of those monsters took his arm.
As Ziring landed the Rancor on the docking bay, the entrance way to the platform opened and out came Admiral Sacreen with a group of Stormtroopers, soldiers used by the Empire. The boarding ramp to the ship retracted and Anglor stepped out. Sacreen walked over to him. "Well?" he asked.
"Prisoners are in the back. Caught 'em snooping around Kiyen. Pretty sure they were looking for one of your little bases. Got 'em just in time," Anglor bragged. "Now, I think you guys owe me some credits."
The Admiral was reluctant to hand over the money, but when he saw his troops bring out the captured Rebels, he saw that the hunter had actually done his job and finally gave in. "Thank you," Anglor said as he took the credits. Satisfied, he turned and headed into the base. He saw a group of Stormtroopers guarding the prison cells, which held many Rebel captives, most courtesy of him. One of the troopers who was guarding an empty cell started to walk over him. "Hey, Ang!" the trooper said.
"Hey, Blaze." Anglor replied.
"So, catch any Rebels lately?"
"Yep. Some troops should be bringing 'em up soon."
"Great. It gets really boring guarding an empty cell."
At that moment a Officer walked down the corridor and saw Anglor talking with Blaze.
"TK-87! Why aren't you at your post?!"
"Ugh. I hate that call sign. Well, Ang, I gotta go back to guarding nothing. See ya!" He waved as he got back to his post.
"Yeah. See ya." Anglor gave a slight wave back, then he walked away. He went to go see if Admiral Sacreen had anymore bounties for him. He found Sacreen looking at his computers and monitors, which was his usual state.
"Hello again, Sacreen," Anglor said smugly.
"Hello again, useless bounty hunter," Sacreen said with a sneer the hunter knew all too well.
"I've been wanting to ask you something."
"Haven't you asked enough?"
Anglor chuckled. "I was wondering if you have any more bounties for me to capture. And also, what is it like living with the Gundarks? I mean, you're both cold-blooded and vicious. You most feel right at home."
The Admiral gave a snarl, then answered his first question.
"Actually, yes. I do have another bounty for you. It's on Wedge Antilles, Rebel pilot."
"Wedge Antilles? You mean the coffee-drinker?"
"Yes. He would be very valuable in the hands of the Empire, and would get you, say, 100,000 credits?" Sacreen said slyly.
"Okay! I'm business. I'll catch the caffeine-consuming pilot if it's the last thing I do!" Anglor said triumphantly as he headed out the door in the direction of his ship.
"You do that." Sacreen had a smirk on his face the size of Endor. there was something going on, though Anglor didn't know it yet.
